Having completed a degree in computer science at Sunderland University in 2003 I settled into a management role in the leisure and entertainment industry. I joined Eldon in 2009 as a member of the small administration team and used my extensive IT knowledge to enhance and build upon the technology that Eldon was using.
I was offered a full time role to oversee the delivery of a first class financial planning and investment service to our clients using the latest technology. Back in 2010, IT for financial planning firms was still a fledgling market. We have kept ourselves at the forefront of the profession by being early adopters of change where it has a benefit to our clients. Our software systems are now integrated and sophisticated. Eldon is a ‘paperless’ office.
Following our transition to Employee Ownership in March 2022, I took on the role of Managing Director. This role involves managing the finances and ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of the business. No two days are the same for me, which suits me as I welcome variety and a challenge.
Outside of work I have a wife Kate and children, Ellie and Jack. I enjoy singing with a local band most weekends and design software in my spare time.
